Southern California's Arcadia Contemporary Gallery is putting on artist Alex Venezia's first solo exhibition this fall, entitled "Sentimental Works." Primarily self-taught, Venezia was a featured artist in Southwest Art Magazine's "21 Under 31: Young Artists to Watch in 2016" and in the BuzzFeed article "5 Artistic Prodigies 21 And Under." He is the recipient of numerous awards and has participated in many group shows throughout the United Sates, including winning the first place prize in the Still Life Competition at Grand Central Atelier in 2017. He currently lives and maintains a studio with painters Michael Klein and Louis Carr in Raleigh, North Carolina.
