Rhina P. Espaillat

Dominican-born poet, essayist, short story writer and translator Rhina P. Espaillat has published seven books and three chapbooks, including three in both English and her native Spanish. Her Where Horizons Go, won the 1998 T. S. Eliot Prize in Poetry and Rehearsing Absence earned the 2001 Richard Wilbur Award. Her most recent collections are Playing at Stillness and El olor de la memoria/The Scent of Memory (Cuentos/Short Stories).
