Leslie Monsour

A native of Los Angeles, California, Leslie Monsour is the author of The Alarming Beauty of the Sky (2005) and the recipient of an N.E.A Fellowship as well as three Pushcart Prize nominations.  Her collection, The House Sitter, won the 2010 Finishing Line Press Open Chapbook Competition. Monsour has published poems, essays, and translations in such journals as The FormalistString PoetMeasure, The Dark Horse, Poetry, and Able Muse.  In 2013, Monsour's monograph on the life and work of Rhina Espaillat was published by Story Line Press, and her Introduction to Espaillat's translations of Richard Wilbur's poems was published in Mexico City and Barcelona.
