Gillian Penderson-Krag

Painter and printmaker Gillian Penderson-Krag holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Cornell University, where she taught from 19661979. She also spent three years studying at the Art Students League of New York. Best known for poetic, quietly brooding landscapes, still lifes, and vaguely surrealistic solitary figures, Penderson-Krag has been called a "painter's painter" for her mastery of lush color.
