FREDERICK FEIRSTEIN is author of the poetry collections
City Life, Manhattan Carnival, Psychiatrists at the Cocktail Party and
Fathering, as well as four other books of poetry. He has also produced seven plays and edited the anthology
Expansive Poetry: Essays on the New Narrative and the New Formalism. He is a recipient of Rockefeller and Guggenheim Fellowships; his other honors include the Poetry Society of America’s John Masefield Award, England’s Arvon Foundation Special Commendation and the Rockefeller Foundation’s OADR Award in Playwriting. He works as a psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City.
